What if I have to reschedule my lesson?No problem! Just call, text, or email us at lest 24 hours before your lesson time to reschedule it at no extra cost. To download our full attendance policy, visit our LESSONS page.

What if I forget about a lesson, or something comes up at the last minute?"If you are unable to notify us 24 hours before your lesson time, the lesson will not be made up. Of course, if there are emergency circumstances, we will gladly reschedule at no charge.

Is there a way to try out a lesson at first to see if it is a right fit?Yes! We offer a first free assessment lesson to anyone who wants to "feel it out" first. It is a non-commitment lesson.

Is there a contract that I need to sign?Nope! We do not require customers to sign a binding contract that forces you to stay with us for the entire month. You can cancel your lessons at any time, and we will gladly work with you on refunding you the correct amount.

Will there be lessons on holidays?There are some holidays where the studio is closed and we do not make up the lesson. We follow the MISD schedule for major holidays, and will always notify you when we are closed. To view our full attendance policy, visit the LESSONS page.

If I need to take a break from lessons, can I still hold my time spot?"Yes! If you need to take a month or two off, we will gladly hold your time spot for a small fee to pay the teachers for their time.

Are there any additional fees?There are no additional fees. The only time where you will need to spend more than the exact amount for your lesson is if your teacher assigns a lesson book, tells you to buy a certain item for your instrument, etc.

Do I have to sign up for monthly lessons? Or are there other frequency options?Nope! We have ala carte lesson options if you prefer to take single lessons only.

I want to buy music lessons for someone else. How do I do that?Mansfield Music Mentor gift cards are a great gift! You can purchase them by visiting the "Other Services" page.

What type of payment do you accept?We accept cash and card payments. We can also put your card in our system to charge automatic payments if you wish.

When is the payment due?Monthly lesson payment is due at the 1st of every month. Ala carte lessons will be paid for at the time of the lesson.

Is my child too young to start music lessons?It depends! If you come on down to the studio, we can give you a free first assessment lesson to see if they are ready to take music lessons. Every child is different and learns differently, so our teachers will make a decision that is best for your child. We will never take a child that is not ready for music lessons. Give us a call for more information.

Is there a minimum experience level needed to take lessons here?Nope! We welcome any and all experience levels and all ages at Mansfield Music Mentors.

Will I need to buy new lesson material even if I already own some?Not always! Bring whatever you have to your first lesson, and our teachers will decide if you need to buy something else based off of what will benefit you the most.

Do I need to bring my own instrument?It depends on what your instrument is. We supply pianos, drum sets, amps, and any chords used for electronic bass and guitar. If you play a wind instrument, guitar, bass, or string instrument, you will need to provide your own instrument. Drum set students will need to provide their own sticks.

Do you have recitals?Yes! We have one recital during Christmas time, and another during the summer time. This is optional for all students. We will never require a student to perform. For more information, visit the EVENTS page.

Can I observe my child's lesson?Yes! You are welcome to sit in on your child's lesson at any time.
